Exotic Food Dishes: Dog Food Fit for King

Exotic food dishes ... they've not just for people any more. In fact, as more and more people turn to eating exotic food dishes themselves, a group of these individuals is also looking for exotic food dishes they can serve to their pets, including to their canine companions. Through this short article, you are provided some tips and pointers as to how you actually can go about making exotic food dishes for your dog.

Of course, as with humans, dogs can develop their own particular tastes when it comes to the food they eat. Therefore, before you invest a great deal of your own hard earned money in exotic food dishes for your dog, you will want to make sure that your pet actually has any affinity at all for something a bit more unique. Indeed, as you work to learn what your pet will and will not eat on a more off-beat level, you really will want to consider preparing exotic food dishes of your own for your dog.

The recipe that follows is a prime example of one of the exotic food dishes for dogs that is ideal when you are trying to ascertain what your companion animal may or may not be willing to eat from time to time - or even on a more routine basis. The beauty of this dish for your dog is threefold: 1. The ingredients are easy to come by; 2. The ingredients are not at all costly to purchase; and, 3. The dish is very easy to make.

For this particular dish for your dog, you will need to round up the following ingredients:

2/3 c. rice
1 lb. ground beef
1 green pepper
1 onion
2 cups sliced mushrooms
1/2 c. chopped water chestnuts
1 tsp. hot sauce
2 tbs. Burgundy cooking wine

In addition to these easy to find ingredients, when making this item for your pet you will need to have on hand two basic cooking utensils (far less than what you might require for other types of exotic food dishes):

Skillet
Sauce pan

The directions for making this dish for your dog are very easy to follow:

1. Cook rice in the saucepan according to the direction provided on the rice package or box itself.

2. Brown meat in the skillet, using medium heat. Drain the grease when complete.

3. Chop up the green pepper and the onion.

4. Saute the green pepper and the onion in the skillet, again using medium heat.

5. Mix the meat with the sauted veggies.

6. Add into the mixture the mushrooms and the water chestnuts.

7. Heat on medium for ten minutes, stirring continually.

8. Add Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, ketchup and hot sauce.

9. Add cooked rice.

10. Pour wine into the mix and heat for ten more minutes, stirring occasionally.

11. Remove from heat, cool and serve to your pooch.
